Answering your cyber questionnaire
$319, fixed. One call, about an hour. You send us the form first.
An insurer or a head contractor has sent you a questionnaire about your computers and your email. It uses words like multi-factor, endpoint, patching and backup regime. You could guess at it, and most people do.
Guessing on an insurance form is how a claim gets declined.
We sit on a call with you and go through it, question by question, and answer it honestly.
Why guessing is the expensive option
The form is not a quiz you can fail. It is a declaration. Whatever you tick becomes the thing your insurer relied on when they priced your policy, and the thing a head contractor relied on when they awarded you the work.
Australian cyber claims are increasingly declined where the application overstated what was actually in place. An answer that is wrong in your favour turns a premium you have been paying for years into a premium you paid for nothing. A blank is survivable. An overstatement is not.
What you get
Your form, answered in your words. We fill it in with you on the call. You send it, not us.
A short list of anything you had to answer “no” to, with what it would take to turn each one into a yes, and roughly what that costs.
A clear note of anything you must not claim. If a control is not in place, we will not tick it, and we will tell you plainly why that matters more than the blank does.
What this is not
It is not an audit. We do not log into your systems or sight anything. We take your word for what is in place and tell you what the form is actually asking. If you need the version where somebody checks, that is the Cyber Posture Review.
It is not certification. Nobody issues a certificate for this, whatever the form implies.
We do not sign anything on your behalf. Above about $3 million in turnover most insurers now want a signed declaration that two-factor login is on for email and remote access. That signature is yours, and it has to be true.
It does not fix anything. If the call turns up work worth doing, we quote it separately and you are free to take that list to anyone.
How it runs
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Before | You email us the questionnaire at least a day ahead. We read it and mark the questions that will need a real answer |
| The call | About an hour, by phone or video, with the form on screen. We work through it in order |
| After | You get the completed answers the same day, plus the list of anything you answered “no” to and what each one would take |
When we will tell you to buy something else
If you are answering “no” to most of it, the form is not your problem. We will say so on the call rather than at the end of it, and point you at the Cyber Posture Review instead — a proper look at what you actually have, with somebody checking rather than taking your word for it.
If you turn over more than about $3 million, insurers verify what you claim rather than take it on trust, and a head contractor at that level usually wants a document rather than a filled-in form. The review is the right product for you: $869 or $1,375 depending on how many computers, logins and platforms you run, and quoted above that. We will tell you which before you spend $319.
What it costs
$319. One call, one form. Price includes GST.
If a second, unrelated form turns up later, that is another $319. If the same insurer comes back with follow-up questions on the same form, that is included.
Common questions
Can you just fill it in for me? No, and that is the point. The answers have to be yours, because the declaration is yours. We make sure you understand what each question is asking and that what goes down is true.
What if I don’t like the answers? Then you have found out before your insurer did, which is the cheapest time to find out. The “no” list exists so you know what it would take to change them, and what it would cost.
Most of my answers were no. Was this a waste of $319? You now have a costed list of exactly what stands between you and that work, which is worth more than a form you guessed at. If it is a long list we will tell you on the call that a Cyber Posture Review is the better spend.
Is two-factor login the one that keeps coming up? Usually, yes. It is the single control that stops most account compromise, it is free on the platforms you already pay for, and it is included in Secure Mail.

Next step
Send us the form and tell us when it is due. We will read it before the call, and if it turns out you need the review instead we will say so before you pay for anything.
