You bring the craft. Our job is to make the tech support it, and help your business go where you want to take it.
Who runs Tradie IT?
Tradie IT is a registered business name of Michael Shaffer, a Melbourne IT consultant who has worked in technology since 1999. He ran IT for Siemens across Australia and New Zealand, managed IT at a global water company, and then spent five years with IT integrators designing systems for their clients. He holds a Master of Management (Information Technology) from Charles Sturt University. Tradie IT is the part of his business set up for trade businesses: websites, business email, job management software, Google Business Profile, cyber checks and IT support. Each one has its own page on this site with the price on it, so you know what it costs before you pick up the phone. Michael also runs Embolster Services, an independent consultancy for bigger IT decisions, so if your business outgrows the basics you don’t have to start again with someone new.
Michael is based in Wantirna, in Melbourne’s east, and still gets a kick out of seeing a piece of technology make someone’s working day easier. Before IT, he was a chef.
What we don’t do
We don’t take referral fees or commissions. If we recommend something we supply ourselves, we tell you it’s ours and show you at least one other option, and you choose.
